Spellman's Power Feed Equipment

Spellman’s state-of-the-art Power Feed Equipment (PFE) utilize our highly reliable SR6 Series high power high voltage supplies to drive the high voltage source and provide the flexibility required to meet the demanding specifications for submarine telecommunications cable installations. Our systems provide the power converter “Redundancy” needed in this ‘cannot fail’ application. The control and monitoring functions of the system will normally be met by a custom designed System Control Unit (SCU), which incorporates the Chart Recorder as well as the alarms, trips and ramp up and down functions. The PFE system will also allow for monitoring on the SCU and the Master SR6 Unit and, when necessary, control of the system by a Master Unit, thus providing redundancy within the control loop.
